On March 12, one of NC State University's most prominent student leaders was diagnosed with leukemia. Nick Schultz is the 2007-08 Leader of the Pack. On April 3, dozens of his fellow NC State students showed up with food and donations. And some shaved their heads to show support for this special student.

I hear a lot about how this generation ("Gen Y") is even more apathetic and selfish than my own ("Gen X"). Hearing stories like this lets us all know that the kids are alright, even when they aren't completely healthy.
