Religious TV station accidentally broadcasts porn

A technician at a French Polynesian television station has been suspended from work after accidentally screening a porn movie he thought he was watching alone. The incident on March 3 sparked angry calls to the Tahiti Nui television network. General director of TNTV Haupert Ives said the technician was suspended from work without pay for a week after the mix-up.

Ives said about three minutes of the adult program made it to air. "It is funny, yes, but not really to us," Ives said. The error happened about 2pm, 20 minutes after a religious program on the channel ended.

    The "offender" was only suspended from work without pay for a week. If it had happened in the US, heads would have rolled, for better or worse.

  • there is no such thing as accidental porn, its like saying i'm accidentally black?! wtf porn is porn, it should have no residence inside of a religious channel broadcasting station. so it got on tv on purpose whether as a gag or as a protest statement it still got on tv.

  • only a week of suspension without pay? and on a religious channel? i could understand if the porn was put on a public channel and it was only the "storyline" of the porn, but any kind run on a religious television show would usually call for immediate expungement. i guess the station is really practicing the belief in forgiveness.
