This is the story of a guy who hadn't seen his sister for years, not since she left home for good. He saw her for the first time whilst browsing the pages of a porn magazine.

This is one dark story, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it...

    Yeah. That's probably true. Maybe this can get me off of porn. Two comments underneath question the authenticity of the article. Even if it were fake, the article itself doesn't seem too far fetched.

    Iono, read the article woodywoodbeck. It seems that the author was schocked at what became of his sister, and the conclusion is that probably a lot of girls in that industry have a similar story.

  • I don't doubt that things like this happen often, which is obviously very sad. The article is very enlightening and tells a true dark story from the author but like I said on a personal level, if I had not talked to my sister in years it would be incredible awkward to see her in a porn ad. My thoughts immediately after that would be is she okay, does she need help, how do I get ahold of her.

  • It is an irony. On the one hand, women look awesome, especially so naked, but on the other hand, by contributing to the industry we contribute to their dysfunctionality and promote their suffering (??) The whole industry represents a microcosm of America, those at the top with perspective and capital feed on the confusion and disillusionment below them...still, what is a pretty girl without skills or money to do. Lastly, how is it that only they seem to know how to please and be pleased? That's why we do it right, because it feels good. Is it really that complicated. What do they know that the rest of us do not?? Anyone?

  • Wow. Shocking. But a really great article. It's scary hearing someone tell about their sordid family details like that (not just about his sister, but his brother too) but it was somewhat enlightening. Absolutely shocking though. Absolutely.

  • MornRail, no one has the perfect family. First step to keeping the peace at home is giving up the notion of a perfect family. The shock about his brother laying on top of his sister was a big hit when I read it. It still is schocking, i suppose. . . heh.

    TDubs, what do you mean they "only know how to please and be pleased." Firstly, I've heard a few pornstars talk about how the sex isn't that great, it's just meant to look good. What does who know that the rest of us do not? THe porn stars? Probably not much.

  • Ok CarlosisDown. You're right. That might need some clarification. The intent of that statement was that some of them actually enjoy the sex, however superficial that has become. And while the application might leave some viewers disgusted at least the principles may be enjoying some of it. Point being, porn would be less attractive if locally there were less politics in the bedroom and more experimental mutually enjoyable behavior. A lot of women that I know personally have secret "Problem" with their nearly perfect bodies and this negatively affects their interpersonal relationships especially with their significant other and especially in the bedroom. That's bad and that's my point. If some of that porn starlet confidence would seep into private, not public lives, porn would lose some of its appeal. We would immediately know the difference between real and fake...silicon anyone?? Somewhere in California, as I understand it, I have a cousin doing about the same thing. Sometime ago she ran away and by all indications that is where she was going and that it what she was going to do. I though I saw her once but I didn't really want to see her so I ignored it. So there. What is the appeal to do porn, is it the money, the sex, is it the??fame?? It's easy to understand why it's popular with the public but most people that watch it would never do it. So is it really broken home kids? Ultimately it may just be a personality type, the shameless personality, and an unabridged love of "love" from where ever or whomever it comes. Still a very interesting article and not the last one of its kind I am sure.
