After pledging to work with the Scrabulous creators to keep it on Facebook, Mattel has launched a new "official" competing version. What this means for Scrabulous remains to be seen...

here's the deal; anyone making a facebook application is risking that facebook or mattel etc., will just copy you and put you out of business!

There are a few interesting points in this situation.
1. the new Scrabulous copy sucks and has users requesting they purchase or make a deal with Scrabulous
2. you can't legally use the new Scrabble in the USA or Canada :-) -
I love Scrabulous! I love this song about Scrabulous too!

As much as I enjoy Scrabulous, it is clearly infringing upon copyright laws. I'd be pretty pissed myself if some stranger made money off of my trademark hair and rich baritone voice.

My boyfriend and I conducted a large part of the beginnings of our long distance romance cereberally via Scrabulous. Touching base through the course of a day with wordsmithery is one of my fondest memories oh where we started.

how is that I have a 267-44 record and only have a measley ranking in the 1400s?
this official competing version better do a better job at crowning me king of scrabulous.
