Mother of abducted girl 'knew where she was'

The Sun newspaper reports that the mother of kidnapped nine-year-old Shannon Matthews allegedly confessed to police that she knew where her missing daughter was being held, from the first day of the ordeal.
Shannon was found alive 24 days after she went missing and throughout that time her mother Karen, 32, made emotional pleas for her return. However, she was arrested this weekend on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and newspapers such as the Daily Mail are questioning if she invented the kidnap to make money.
Her arrest came hours after the man accused of abducting Shannon, her step-father's uncle Mike Donovan, tried to kill himself in jail by slashing his wrists. Last week her stepdad was arrested on unconnected child porn charges and his mother and sister were 'held on suspicion of being involved with the youngster's kidnap'.

That poor poor girl, whatever must she be going through, I hope in time she can will be able to live with all this and lead as normal as life as possible.

I agree Callie, how awful it must have been, even from the smallamount of information anyone else knows, just been taken and shoved under a bed must've been horrific.

It's all very weird. On the one hand the mother could have known and it could have been planned and on the other hand it could have been a genuine abduction. The thing that confuses the idea of it all being planned is how the suspect tried to kill himself in prison.

If any of you are intrested, a reporter freindof mine claimedthat he waspretty sure it was watching te money appeal for MadelineMcCann, so these ones just wanted money for them selves, so they pretended Shannon was abducted.
On his behalf though, I won't promise the Mathews family or the extended half did this for definate, it's unconferemed but out there, my reporter freind doesn't seem like the exaderating for a story sort. but they still might not have, it's non of my business really.
