Living off campus is a great experience. No RAs, your own room and bathroom, house parties, space to study, and the ability to cook your own food. But there is a down side, in addition to paying bill, how do your protect your house from being robbed?
Last year, my house was broken into along with as many as six other student houses and apartments. This article printed in the Northwestern school paper is all about a drug raid that lead to the recovery of a large amount of property stolen from local houses around my campus and the hopeful end to this string of burglaries!
Is property theft and burglary a big issue for people living off-campus at your school?
