Sure, teenage millionaires are nothing new, but what about the ones who are totally self made? Bitten and Bound tells us how 5 enterprising youths all built million-dollar businesses before reaching age 20.

It's interesting how all but one made their money via internet advertising and/or social networking. Sort of shows where the money's at nowadays.

I don't know about buying and selling me, but if they'd like to buy me a television, they can find me at www.helpacepayforthingshecantafford.org.

I know that one girl is already successful and everything, but dropping out of school wasn't such a good idea.
-
i agree. dropping out of school is never a good idea. and being a millionaire is not going to give you enough to live the rest of your days. you should always have a backup plan and school is, in my opinion, the best of backup plans(regardless of your age).

My friend's little brother does this. He gets like 500 dollars a month for making myspaces and things like that and then selling them when they have enough 'friends'. Weird stuff. I can't believe people pay for that kind of stuff.

Yes, no matter how successful you become, you should always keep the drive to achieve more wisdom.
-
I agree dropping out of school is not the best idea especially since she was still in high school. What if something goes wrong with the business then what will she do?
-
this proves that you should always put 100% of your effort into doing what you love. for these kids it definetly paid off!
-
Money isn't the only barometer of success, or at least it shouldn't be even though it is in this country.

The Jam boy looks like a loser compared to the other 4.
-
The jam guy is the only one who impresses me, actually. The other web successes seem somewhat trivial to me.
-
I take back what I said - they might sell me for parts.
-
they couldn't afford me.
-
what ? staying in high school ? these are kids who'll be giving lectures to MBA students in a few years - as far as going bust , i can assure you that if they're smart enough to have amassed a mil or 2 by 16 , having diversified investments to fall back on is a given - they've already thought out their retirements . staying in high school ...oh man .....
-
Why does everyone stay in school? To live a happy life? No, to get a good job and make loads of money. These kids have skipped a couple steps, so why not?
-
Man, I want to be a jamillionaire. I mean, who doesn't love jam?
-
aHAhahHh, "dcuisinot" that was mad funy, but uhh lol... I was reading or I had seen something like this on AOL news or something like that two days ago probably, but good stuff "da".
-
somebody should recognize the great parents behind these kids as well
