I don't know how many of you are following the John Adams miniseries on HBO. I am and can say without a doubt that it is one of the most well produced, acted, and accurate historical dramas I have ever seen. And the music from it is so inspirational I had to share it because it inspires me and brings me to tears. Many say our Founding Fathers were flawed and they were. However, they were still men of conscience who cared about the law and that no man was above it. Oh, to have such a Congress today.

John Adams! This is a fantastic series. I can't wait for episode no. 6 to come out. It is one of the most powerful series I have seen in a long time and it inspires me to become an even better patriot. The music is amazing and I cannot stop listening to it. I have every single episode recorded on my DVR.
I totally agree with you on the last part, I wish congress would act in the same manner back then, just pure patriotic, they only wanted to do what was best for the country and not themselves.-

I couldn't agree more. We just started watching this and it is amazing. I'm glad there is place where this kind of television is still being made. Great job HBO and Tom Hanks.

And seeing the struggles they went through to birth America you get the sense that even though what we are now facing is hard, it isn't as hard as what they went through. They birthed a country, and now it is ours to keep. And you're correct, watching this makes me want to be a better American and I think it should be required viewing in every History and civics class.
I look forward to every week and will most definitely be buying this when it comes out on DVD. And the resemblances between the actors and the men and women themselves is uncanny. David Morse as George Washington just blows me away, and Steven Dullane as Thomas Jefferson, my hero... wow. I also love how Abigaill Adams is portrayed by Laura Linney and Paul Giamatti as John Adams is sensational. Good to see them depicting women as strong people who had just as much involvement in our birth as the men... and in John Adams's case she was his soul.-

Some of our past president actually lead us into battle, stayed there, handled the scene and so forth. Point being, we have slid backwards. I don't get the sense anyone on capitol hill really cares anymore. And I don't know if we can get back there again. I don't have HBO but I will be looking for this when it's on dvd.

I agree TDubs, we have become that which Thomas Jefferson warned us about. You will not be disappointed with this series.

I love that we have something to agree on. I'm watching on demand and have just started, so don't ruin the ending for me (wink).
Agree about the actors, of what I've seen they all look great. David Morse (Washington) especially. That guy is so underrated.
