  • It's really cool to see people happy, instead of hiding and trying to be something they're not. I really dig the fact that Natalie is so open about her life story.

    Thanks for the introduction!

  • very cool, seems like a cool person. I think its funny that he still speaks in a deep voice though.

  • You go girl! I really would like to see more of Natalie; she has a wonderful sense of style. I would love to see a whole pod just devoted to such a wonderfully accepting community.

  • I took a sociology course on relationships when I was in college, and one of the points conveyed was that sex and gender are two different things. Sex is what you are born with; gender is defined by society, family, and self (paraphrased).

This is just such a neat story that held my attention all the way through. It makes me feel like I know this very sweet and interesting person. I want to invite her our for coffee and have a chat!

  • Gender is a social construction? That might be a stretch for me. I would have to see it in some other species... Could be possible.

  • Nifty pod.

I like the presentation style of it; the fact that this character is simply explaining their life story to us. Works well.

  • What was most interesting for me was Natalie's take on femininity. As presented in the pod, femininity is represented by new dresses every season, lipstick and high heels. I give him/her lots of credit for wholeheartedly embracing the gender she feels that she is. But it's a skewed take on womanhood, especially given the guy's three marriages. Wow. His wives musta been upset! I would love to know more about how that all turned out. And how did he win over the small midwestern town? So much to explore here. A great start -- in fact, over all a great pod and very intriguing!
