Every year in January just about all of Tokyo's fire departments throughout the area come together to put a demonstration with parades, rescue demos, and acrobatics from Japanese firefighters from ages past.
It's a 5-year old's dream come true with lots of firefighting action!

Festivals from other parts of the globe will always capture my attention. It's fun to see SamuraiDave trying his hand at Japanese! Hope your stay in Japan gives you enough time to a)make more pods and b) become fluent in the language.

Pretty interesting stuff. It would have been nice to have seen an interview with a couple of the firefighters. it's cool to see how they can accomplish the same thing with trucks half the size of our. Makes you rethink the way we do things in the states.

Wish I could see! That's Odaiba, right? I like the old Edo firemen the best!
