Hull's not even that bigger a city - imagine what the numbers in London could be like...

  • Poor kid. That must have been one hell of a fake ID though.

  • Please tell me the 'pubs' over there do not serve booze in baby bottles or sippy cups.
    BenDorries
  • Just when I heard it all...
    "Don't touch that!"
    "Stop running around the house"
"You have had enough Junk food"
"Stop beating your lil sister up!"
"You have had 4 beers already, that's enough, it's off to bed!"

  • Wait, wait, wait...I hope this doesn't mean Joe Francis is buying the rights as we speak to "Babies Gone Wild"

    Just bad...really, really bad!
    woodywoodbeck
  • You really need to be drunk to survive in Hull.

They (everyone) used to drink beer instead of water in England, because the water was so dirty.

  • BenDorries: There used to be a comedy show called "Vic Reeves' Big Night Out" that involved several arguments about giving a baby booze. You just reminded me of it.

    "Babysham, booze for t' baby!"
    "Y' can't give a baby booze!"
    "Babysham!"

    Etc.

  • Why is it always Hull!?

Man has sex with animals = Hull

    Fattest city = Hull

6 year old lager lout = Hull

I reckon we should start a petition to change the U to an E

    And I'm from there.

But you knew that already as I go out with a sheep, have a ridiculous belly fuelled by my constant alcohol consumption.

  • bpierce, I'd never heard of Hull before I stumbled upon the article. haha is it really that bad of a place? i mean with the whole fattest city and other occurances you mentioned?
  • Yes, tis truly a terrible place.

I do not go out with a sheep though that is in the past now, but its still painful and I don't want to talk about it.

  • Hull needs to give his tabloid stories to Nancy Grace on CNN.

The stark reality of underage drinking is that in most cases, alcohol causes more problems amongst teenagers than any other illegal substance. Would higher fines to parents or outlets discourage this? ..or should Hull simply be taken off the map all together.
    Mr_Costello
  • Whoah, you can't just wipe it off the map!

You need places like Hull to make people appreciate what the have.

I people should go on some sort of endurance/survival mission!

  • this vividly illustrates the need for alcohol and drug education at the preschool level. With the proper guidance and supervision, this unfortunate lad would have learned how to drink responsibly and would not be feeling the embarrassing sting of ostracism from the pub playdates and kindergarten beer bashes that we all look back so fondly upon....
  • A relative of mine used to spike her babys' juice (she had four kids) with a little whisky to 'help them sleep.'

    yike.

  • I think Id have turned to drink had I been brought up in Hull.

  • I got halfway through the article before I realized, "Oh! They aren't talking about Brintey Spear's kids!"

    Now I am surprised.
