  • Thanks for the comment idealist. Just so everyone knows, we never never spoil plot, and only use clips from the trailer so you will never see things you haven't already seen.

  • This movie was ok. George Clooney looked old...you can see his eyeliner on his aging eyelids. Rent it for a date. Don't go in expecting football and you won't be as disappointed as these guys.

  • This sucks...what a farce is the marketing campaign?? No football?? That's BS. You should be able to sue studios for false advertising. War sublplot? I would have never guessed...and definitely won't see.
  • I knew it! As soon as I saw the trailer in the theater I felt that the writers were hiding something....it was like a disturbance in the Force. Or a fart in a car.

You can just tell when the producers want to make a big hit and therefore they play it really, really, really "safe" (see also: boring!) No one says or does anything particularly offensive or off-kilter because (gasp!) they don't want to offend anyone or make a mistake! So the end up making a really dull 2 hr film.

All the big hit comedies in the last few years are comedies that took real risks and went for it without fear -- you can't be safe and be funny at the same time and, sadly, "Leatherheads" proves that point.
