Concealed carry folks have a better safety record than the police. Maybe you ought to support them on campus. It makes everyone safer!
Concealed carry on campus isn't going to arm drunk freshmen, its just going to let some really safe and responsible folks be armed to help suppress bad folks.

I definitely agree--most students live in the "it won't happen here bubble." Believing that something won't happen doesn't make it true.
I support people's right to take responsibility for their safety, be it with judo, pepper spray, or guns. Of course, avoiding an attack is always preferable, but not always possible. Letting people with permits carry on campus is not a serious threat. Permit holders are much less likely to commit a crime than the general population. In essence, these are not the people we should be restricting.
