    • I don't believe people should drive cars because they kill... stupid... duh...

      I think my 4 year old nephew could come up with a better argument then that.

    • Look at it this way: Who are the people who would kill others with guns?...That's right, the same criminals who don't care about gun laws. Declaring a place a "gun-free zone" only disarms those who follow the law, i.e. the people we don't have to worry about. When you ban guns from an area, the only ones you actually disarm are those who want to defend themselves (and by proxy, defend you).

      In the US, guns are used more often to defend people against violent attacks than they are to commit attacks. Studies by the FBI, DOJ, and various groups have found this.

      In 98% of self defense cases no shots are fired. Even in the 2% of cases where shots are fired, it's better to shoot the attacker than to be killed or raped.

      If you really want to reduce death by banning an object why not ban cars? Far more people are killed either in cars or by people driving cars than by people using guns according to the CDC (US Centers for Disease Control) on mechanism related deaths.

    • I'm pretty sure this video was meant sarcastically, because there's no way to attribute a conscious decision to pull a trigger to an inanimate object.

    • I go to the National Matches every year where everyone has assault rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammo. Gosh, I must have seen LOTS of people shot, right?

      Um....No.

      CCL on campus would protect everyone and you could just keep sleeping and never see a thing!

      You aren't just about arming the police and gov are you? That never works out very well, but maybe you slept through history.

      Seriously, have a great semester. College life is one of the best times ever.
