Here is another side to the Guns on Campus piece I already uploaded about guns on campus at Oklahoma State University and this is an avid hunter's perspective.

this seemed like a lot of showing off of his gun ... which i like but it may have been just a bit to much. after watching the whole thing i see and understand where you were going with it which i liked and i also feel you did a good job showing his point of view. in places where it's legal to publicly have guns they found that they have less crime ... i just kind of think a tad of that kind of information may have gone a long way in your video. but hey i liked it.

"this is the avid hunter's perspective."
You probably meant to say this is one avid hunter's perspective. Most hunters don't throw any style of gun "under the bus" as this one did with handguns. All types of guns have their own best suited purposes, rifles for long range, handguns for shorter distances and portability, such as daily carry for defense of self & family.
Most hunters recognize that the anti gun people won't be satisfied with only banning one type of gun. They want to ban handguns because they're too small, rifles because they shoot too far, all semi-auto weapons because they shoot too fast, etc. I have already seen an anti-gun ATF agent compare a hunting rifle to a "sniper rifle."
In England they banned handguns there in the late 90's & many hunters there were OK with that. Then they banned hunting foxes with hounds about 7 years later, the number one style of hunt there that had been passed down for generations. They didn't hang together, now they're all hung.
Most gun owning Americans hang together so that we won't all hang separately.-

I think this pod shows an interesting point of view, but he was showing off his guns a lot in the beginning, which made it difficult to draw me in. He also wasn't really clear where he stood with guns on campus making him seem like some what of an unreliable "source." Nonetheless I think his point is valid and he has right to argue his position.

Hunting sucks. I love all animals. Hunting sucks, and the Dalai Lama is against it too. OK, there. I said it.

What does this have to do with the topic?
Stop showing off your guns; yes, they're nice; but try to stay on topic. -
To all comments, consider this...
Dustinsgunblog,
he does say he supports all types of gun rights, but what he's saying is he's just not sure about expanding gun rights on campus. So he's not saying in anyway that concealed weapons should be banned.
Also, on the topic of most hunters having every type of gun "under the bus" around half of the hunters I have interviewed do not own pistols.
Jordi,
I understand how the beginning could be a little slow, but I wanted to achieve two things with this. 1. Show hunters and gun owners that this guy is a real gun owner and hunter. 2. I wanted to show non gun owners that even as a hunter he tries to practice ethical hunting practices (for what it's worth to non hunters). And once he's established as a gun owner and obviously someone who would be considered pro guns, I showed that he is not entirely convinced by the idea that guns on campus would make for a safer campus. so rather than making him unreliable, I think it makes him unique, rather than hearing from someone who is fundamentally opposed to guns in general saying loudly "guns only create chaos". This is someone who is saying guns are fine and most gun owners are safe, but maybe not on campus. Which I felt was an interesting point of view.
Julie,
valid point.
Rob87,
This is about a hunters point of view about guns on campus, rather than someone who grew up without ever touching a gun telling their view. I could have had him just tell about him different guns, but I thought it would be better to show.
Thanks to all for your comments and I hope we can continue to discuss this hot topic :-) also thanks for watching.
