Sick man. Almost as good as our flipcam footage.
-
Nice JT!
-
interesting look @ the controversy, JT. I like how you got both points of view on the issue.

this is the kind of news that gives me something i can't get by skimmiing my rss google news subscription.
MORE POPSICLE VENDORS IN NEWS!
supertight.
-
Very nice. Probably better than cnn coverage. Actually, yes it was. 100% of the people I've asked preferred this to cnn's coverage. So there you go everyone, Cold Hard Facts.
-
An impressive opus. Three cheers for new school news and journalism.

Sweet pod. Really well-done and great interviews. Too bad you couldn't track down the torch though. That sneaky, sneaky torch!
-
Awesome Ben Stein produced that! Great job man! Loved you in FB's DO.
Nice work to everyone else too.
-
a torchless experience... that´s sad
great work JT!
-
Great job TJ getting down and into the crowd. Too many of the correspondants I watched on the other networks stayed up on their reporter platform and didn't get down into what it felt like to be there.
-
Great Job Guys!

mannnn.
I bet if I were there I would be able to find the tourch & Mr Mayor!
just kidding.
I like this pod. -
I don't think it was right for the mayor to reroute the torch ceremony because it was an important opportunity for a strong crowd to protest China's behavior. At the same time, those protestors who were getting violent or planning to attack the torch bearer are hypocrites and defeating the whole purpose of a peaceful, united, international effort against violence and injustice.
-
wow Great report JT, sorry no torch showed up! On the otherhand, it was refreshing to see a pod that approached all the different viewpoints of the people present (ie the cops vs. the torchbearer vs. the protesters) definitely helps the viewer feel as if they are really at the event.

Not quite sure what you mean damartin90. To me, they seemed very collected and well-spoken ... especially the '02 torchbearer.
-
well the '08 torchbearer and the cops' body language seemed to me that they were giving prepared speeches in case someone from the press came to talk to them

The lack of torch definitely didn't take away from the power of this piece. Great footage from the protests and excellent interviews from all sides of the story. I especially liked hearing from the '02 torchbearer. Although I support the protests, there's no need to attack the torchbearers (as seen in European protests), and it's important to keep in mind that they have been specially selected to receive that honor.

This pod was like the inside scoop on what was going on that day. I like. You always know Current is going to keep it real.
-
Fun and informative.
JT's inability to find and film the torch, as a member of the press, shows how this torch relay is not an effort to bring the Olympic spirit to the world but for China to impose its agenda on the world, as well as Tibet.
-
nice work all. You covered the different perspectives well. on a side note... our police aren't looking too fit.
