i think this is a smart way to learn how medical marijuana can help people in chronic pain by teaching them the right way to do it there can be no wrong way

Singer/Songwriter Jason Mraz wrote a song about this college. I got this info. from songmeanings.net. Y'all should check out the lyrics. Once I saw this clip on Current, I was immediately intrigued since Mraz is one of my fav. musicians. Now I know where he was coming from. : ) Thanks!

Great pod. Short and sweet. Nice main character, but I would like to know more about how smoking mj keeps his pain away. How does it work for him? What are the other people like who are in the college?

I really enjoyed this pod. I think it's amazing what this college is doing for those who need the knowledge and have no where to get it from.

This is a perfect vehicle to unravel all the lies and misrepresentation that this medicinal herb has been given since it was criminalized by the same government that brainwashed so many people and denied so many others the medicine they needed to get through life comfortable. after all knowledge is power and power is knowledge.

LOVE IT!

Great!

Really well done. I like that this pod grabs your attention by introducing the idea of a college that teaches students about using and growing cannabis without explaining exactly what they mean until over a minute in. This makes the audience really want to know details about the college. In the meantime, we get details about Sean's life and become connected to him and his story. Editing-wise, I really like the quick cuts of Sean holding up the different Cannabis products he made in class.

Nice to know people want to be a part of change and are inspired to inform the masses. -
its always good to have the knowledge, thats how we can try to change peoples prejudice
-
I have a friend who could do with this!!!! Fantastic that people are taking this drug serious. Now if the same could be done with alcohol then I'm sure the world could be a better place.

: -) -
Well done! Do they teach you how to roll as well?

You're all missing the point though. The fact is that it's still illegal. It can still mean going to jail. You know, kids watch this show. Why on earth would you glorify something that whether I agree with or not could still mean jail time? This is totally irresponsible.
If you want to make it legal, then take it to the politicians, NOT the kids who are watching TV and thinking "oh how cool".
I agree that there is a true benefit to medical marijuana, but let's face the facts- that's not why people use it. The percentage of people who truly need it for medical reasons make up only a tiny fraction of those who use it. Trying to pretend that such a college is only out to "help" people is ridiculous. It's all about getting stoned. Why try to make it into some legitimate selfless service? -
We, as a society, should not be so hypocritical.
We have commercials and billboards advertising alcohol everywhere, and yet we become offended when cannabis is shown in any positive context.
The fact is that alcohol is a mood altering drug that effects the central nervous system, and it causes more deaths among teens than prescription and illegal drugs combined.
Yet alcohol is the most socially acceptable drug in our society.
I think its time we rethink whats 'harmful'.-

This pod is awesome. I heard about the college in the newspaper in Santa Barbara. People do need to be educated about marijuana because most people just think it's a bad drug.
-
I like the pod and understand what Marijuana can be used for to help those that are in chronic pain.
However, i do not see how inhaling smoke is not harmful. Sorry. Eating it...alright. But smoking? Bringing it into your lungs and expecting that it's like breathing air? Yeah no.
As for this need to state brainwashing...cliche. Please for the love of reasonableness never use that phrase if you want to be taken seriously. Anyone using Brainwashing as a term to describe something or someone else are automatically discredited as someone that has their very own agenda and are not about to tell you the whole truth.
No matter how many times people whine I will not think the government is out to get me. I'm not naive enough to think that they are not doing shady things but I'm not about to sit here and be all conspiracy theorist about their behavior.
Great pod. I'd never live in California, though. Fantasy world they live in.
