Argentina is famous for its high quality, free range beef. In this pod, by vc2 producer Ginger Gentile & Gerardo Brossy, we get to know the cows, meet a "gaucho" in the pasture, see the slaughter, watch a young butcher work and hear from a hip consumer to learn how important the beef industry is to life in Argentina.

Fascinating Argentine view of traditional grass fed, grazing cows that look so happy in the field, and how much beef each person consumes and they seem active and healthy, also. I guess the cows chewing all that grass makes them healthier, just like my friends who drink wheat grass to gain health benefits. I hope the Argentines can stay with their traditions and not succumb to the feedlots and grain fed ways of USA big business, where the cows are so sick, they need antibiotics, and the people who consume feedlot beef gain health problems. Ginger and Gerado please keep us informed and entertained on all levels as this documentary does. Thanks!

"Factory" beef makes me very ill - I'm fairly certain it's from the new 'flavor enhancers' they're allowed to add. I only eat grass-fed, organic beef. It has healthier Omega 3 fats than factory beef and is tender and delicious.

if you like beef but want something a little healthier, try some lean buffalo meat. absolutely delicious, less fat and more protein.

wonder if PETA would have something to complain about if they saw the way these cattle are rasied. BEEF IS BUENO!

The process in Argentina seems so much more natural and much less torturous for the cows without all those steroids paralyzing them and the bad health conditions of the factory-processing which is so common in the United States.

Ginger is a fellow expat and did a fabulous job on this story! Very cool look into what makes Argentine beef so special.

"Beef is Bueno" co-director Ginger Gentile is quoted in delta sky magazine talking about how cows live on the pampas of Argentina.
