Why I Like Japan.

Here I explain why it is I like Japan and my first year in Japan and why my Japanese sucks.

Basically three main reasons I like Japan:
*History
*Festivals
*Culture

Plus I also like the food, hot sake, and cold Sapporo beer.

When I first came to Japaan, I didn't have the economic security to spend much time getting around or getting into the culture. I slowly came to acquire a love of Japan rather than coming over here head-over-heels with Japan to begin with.

  • i grew up in okinawa, and JAPAN is flawless. except for the older generations views, the younger generations lack of respect for the older generations views, and the stereotypes that are brought into the nation about black people from the west.

    aside from that, I love it there. the culture is phenomenal! Okinawan Yaki-Soba is the best stuff in the world. The beaches, sea urchins, gecko's monkey lizards, the HUGE ASS ROACHES, the obon festival, the uchinachu are the most beautiful people on the planet.

    cant wait until december, because im going back!

  • I've bookmarked this and i'll come back to it. My mother went to japan for 3 weeks and came back saying "you have to go to Japan, it's wonderful."

    So i took 6 months of japanese in 2005. but I need to get back to it. I do look forward to going there at some point.

  • brother i just emailed an attorney in okinawa 30 seconds ago to position myself to get back home....bro, you have not lived until you have been to okinawa. point blank. mainland is cool and its pimped, just dont go alone...but brother once you go, it stays with you forever...it makes you cry sometimes....if its made a profound impact on your life. i spent 8 years there bro, and i almost cry everyday im not there. im going back in december.....feel free to come along. i just go to go!

    and i try to go every year. its lovely!

  • I try to keep my carbon emissions to a minimum. If I go, i'll stay awhile. gotta get my japanese up to par first.
