Lost Generation - simple but spectacular clip

This video came second in a contest for 20 year olds called 'u @ 50'. When it was recently shown in a screening alongside the other winners, the audience 'was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause.'

    The whole reversal on the monologue I think means a reversal in our thinking. Really great find. I'm glad you posted this!

  • Okay, I'm calling bullsh*t. That first video was WAY more compelling than the "winner." Sure the "winner" had good production value in the form of lovely cinematography and solid editing, but it just smacked of overly earnest claptrap.

    I've always been blown away at the talent of some people to hit on a simple, but powerful way of communicating an idea. Frankly, I'm jealous of those who can...

    This video made me experience that "a-HA!" moment when the text started moving in reverse and I marveled at how the same words could be shifted in their meaning just by reversing the order of the sentences.

    Seems to me like the judges at this AARP backed video contest must also be members...

  • I just watched the first place video- The AARP got sucked in by the clincher in the winning vid..."I'll still be dreaming", played on their egos. I agree with Justin- Second place was way better.

  • Would it be awkward for me to mention that this literally made me tear up while watching it? Ridiculous I know, but it provided a very simple sentiment that I find resounding in my own life far too often... Our society is crazy, we do need to make some changes.
