Marilyn Monroe sex tape unearthed

A long-buried FBI-classified sex tape of Marilyn Monroe, which appears to have been shot in the 1950s, has been sold to a wealthy New York businessman for $1.5 million.

The 15 minute footage shows Monroe on her knees performing oral sex on an unidentified man. When the tape, shot on 16mm film, came to light in the 1960s, J. Edgar Hoover unsuccessfully tried to prove the man in the video was either John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy.

  • According to the article, the purchaser plans to keep the video hidden out of respect for Marilyn Monroe. I think that's an amazing gesture on his part, not only because Marilyn is an icon and deserves respect in her own right, but also because it preserves the notions of class and elegance that symbolized that era in Hollywood.
