It was no big deal to begin with and Obama properly laid it to rest. Hilary opened with the deadly, "Ya know,...", and provided further evidence that an elitist may think it's okay to label another the same, but it rarely pays off.
Thanks, crob80227. -
I guess you're in touch! Hillary......... (giggles)

I kinda feel bad for Hillary. You can tell she REALLY wants this. Bad!
What does she have left if this doesn't work out? She only has $100 million in savings! How is she going to pay for all those maids, butlers, limo drivers and personal chefs? That's barely beer money for Bill!
We need to rally and start the "Save Hillary!" fund. We can't let this poor woman get tossed out onto the streets with only last year's $1,500 designer pant suits to keep her warm!
Maybe we can put collection jars by the register of Starbucks (or Tiffany's) to raise a few million to help keep her off welfare?

crob, Thanks it looks like the people of Pennsylvania know exactly what Obama meant by bitter. He meant they are pissed by what NAFTA and the rest did to their communities. He meant they know that economic plans that are talked about don't include them, so they vote gun laws, gay marriage, whatever to feel like they have some control. They aren't stupid enough to believe he was putting them down, but was standing up for them.

Why is this so hard to comprehend ? People and pundits alike keep calling this an "historic election" when it's anything but. This is a singularly UNIQUE election. NEVER before as anyone like any of the remaining candidates had a chance to become president.
The pundits and spin machines are bound and determined to make this politics as usual. This is quite literally the chance of all our life time. We can transcend prejudice on many levels. We can finally evolve to the next level of society OR we can spin, criticize and parse every syllable along party lines like good little foot soldiers and happily secure the status quo.

I stil don't understand what's the big deal over Obama's remark.
What do they want us to believe? That there is not a single bitter person in any small town in America?

as a huge barack supporter i have to admit i do not understand the whole clinging to religion and guns part of his remark. However, when it comes to the antipathy and anti-immigrant part, i completely agree. isnt it the whole argument of scapegoatism. american companies are continuously sending good jobs overseas to save money but one hardly hears anyone throw deserving blame at these companies. all we hear is all the blame going to immigrants esp. hispanics. being a recent immigrant, i know what i am talking about. my fiends who are here legally (mostly thru' green card) face all kinds of blatant, veiled or even clever remarks by americans all the time. pple are frustrated with the current govt. but it does not help when we turn against each other or good law abiding pple who are trying their hand at the american dtream and are facing the same hardships everyone else is facing. Go ahead hillary, milk thios one for all its worth.

I understand his intended, and delivered message. I can see that some others misinterpreted, but Hillary and McSwain are not one of them.
They are CLINGING to it desperately as they both know they are in the dog house.
Both Hill-Bill-ary and McFane are intentionally attacking his words in an attempt to discredit him, rather than take the path of intelligence and grace, the high moral road, of dignity and maturity and are twisting what he truly meant into something to make him appear bad.
Tsk, tsk you unscrupulous presidential candidate. Who wants more of that mentality in the Whitehouse? Not me!
