We definately need to control guns in this country.
Its amazing that in Canada every family owns a gun.
Yet the murder rate is amoungst the lowest in the world.

    You state that in Canada every family owns a gun yet crime rates are low. Seems to me that guns aren't the problem. If they were, Canada would have an astronomical crime rate.

    We need to stop blaming inanimate objects for the evil that people do. We need to control poverty and crime in this country, not the tools that these criminals utilize to do their deeds.

    Gun control only limits the law abiding. In the United States, there are over 20,000 gun laws. Every day these laws are broken by criminals. In the United States, there are laws against murder, rape and physical violence against another person. Every day these laws are broken by criminals. There are laws against drugs and selling alcohol to minors. Every day these laws are broken by criminals. There are laws against selling illegal guns. Every day, these laws are broken by criminals.

    Do you see the pattern? We do not need more gun control, we need criminal control.

    Gun control is not about guns, it is about control.

  • i agree with you. we need to control these guns out on the streets. i also agree with the person who commented before me. its not the guns thats taking lives, its the people. i propose stronger punishment for gun crimes and making it harder to obtain a gun.
