Great article on the incessant noise pollution in Cairo, where the average noise level from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. is 85 decibels, "a bit louder than a freight train only 15 feet away."
As the article points out, this puts a whole new spin on urban dwellers having trouble getting their voices heard.
