The Pope has landed in the US for the first time since he became pontiff. It's also the first time a Pope has visited the US since 9/11. The Pope will visit New York and Washington DC in a six-day tour.

I'm curious to know what kind of security measures he has - also, I wonder if there will be any riots or protests during his 6 day tour. People don't seem to be that thrilled with the Vatican these days!

Benedict was up to his papal collar in both the church's complicity and attempted concealment of the abuse scandal. The apology that he gave to reporters before he stepped on American soil is just not good enough. He needs to acknowledge and accept some responsibility.

Here's a quote:
"Pope Benedict XVI has launched a surprise attack on climate change prophets of doom, warning them that any solutions to global warming must be based on firm evidence and not on dubious ideology. The leader of more than a billion Roman Catholics suggested that fears over man-made emissions melting the ice caps and causing a wave of unprecedented disasters were nothing more than scare-mongering"
Would He preach that message in the USA?
Probably.... YES-
