    It's amazing to see someone so focused on bettering themselves and giving up so much, but also falling in love with another culture.

    i was born and raised in canada of filipino parents. i visited the philippines several time up to age 17, but then went to live in taipei for one year learning chinese through a canadian scholarship when i was 28. it was such an amazing experience learning the language and culture. i completely fell in love with the people and especially chinese culture. i hope to move back after i finish school here in LA!
