Prom Night Prep

Bring a rubber to the kegger?
Prom season’s here, and high schoolers are piling into overpriced limos, outrageous dresses and boozy after-parties. One topic that rarely makes the gymnasium floor: safe sex. “High schoolers spend hours talking about who they are taking to the prom,” says Jill Michelson of Marie Stopes International Australia, a reproductive health org. “Unfortunately, an open chat about safe sex isn’t on the agenda.” Her group is leading a global charge to make condoms an integral part of prom night. Michelson recently led a text message campaign, TXT 4 Free Condomz, calling them the “must-have school formal accessory.” Some say the campaign encourages teen sex. Says Michelson: “Ignoring the problem won’t make it go away.”

share this with your children , nieces, and nephews, grand children , some one must make it real for them, go buy some condoms and hand them to your child they may be freaked out or grossed out , but that is an important step in making it real for them,.....If they are teenagers and it freaks them out , you got some educating to do , because if thats the case , the school is not going to do it for you .. You must open a dialogue for safety with your kids . my mom didnt speek of such things and i was very nieve, but acted so cool about things. my loss!!!!
