Governor Charlie Crist signed a controversial bill into law Tuesday allowing Floridians to keep guns locked in their car while at work.

What is so controversial about it?? If a criminal or psycho at work is going to cause carnage anyway why would they balk at a law saying they cannot have it in their car?? Just because they get fired that they will immediately go out to their car and come back? Highly unlikely since the majority gun owners are responsible people. Why make more victim disarmament zones when criminals don't obey the law anyway? Note it is talking about in the parking lot locked in the car, not the workplace itself.
