A pod that shows how the UNDP (United Nations Developing Program) is trying to lift up a neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, by collecting the mountains of trash from its streets and canals and turning it into "cash" for the community.

Interesting POD. I've never seen this recycling technique before.....

I hope this practice spreads all over the country of Haiti. In a place that is so heavily deforested and still heavily relies on coal, it's great for them to be able to turn trash into a reusable resource. Both environmentally and economically.

I THINK ITS GREAT HOW THE PEOPLE ARE LEARNING NEW WAYS OF ALTERNATIVE FUEL THAT IS RECYCLABLE AS WELL AS BENIFICIAL TO THEIR WAY OF LIFE.

I love how this process involves the community to provide jobs as well as recycle in new and innovative ways. When a solution like this is formulated, without harmful chemicals, I see a light at the end of the tunnel for this community's trash situation. There are so many other countries that need this process of recycle as an example for institution. The pod has very interesting information, which drives its plot, and the way you string it together is very well done. Perhaps you could incorporate a quick connection to trash hazards in other parts of the world, at the end of the video. Great job.
