Oklahoma Representative Sally Kern's homophobic comments may have cost her state jobs.

A top executive at a San Francisco financial services company has expressed concern over a major office relocation because Kern compared gays to terrorists claiming the "homosexual agenda is destroying this nation."

Roy Williams, president of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, said the issue is a major concern the chamber is trying to address.

  • Good. Bigoted individuals don't deserve my hard earned cash.
  • One can only hope that there are tangible repercussions for government representatives that speak this sort of nonsense.

  • There will always be ignorant bigots in power. The only way we can fight them is rob them of thier power-KIick her out of her office!
    knuckletoaster
  • Word! That's what she gets. There's no need for that kind of mindset in power.

  • It is not about money. That top executive who is a lesbian can stay in San francisco

I am against gay marriage because every child has a right to a father and a mother.

so goes the family... so goes the nation

    I agree with Sally Kern.

    Children have rights

  • This woman is awful. After reading what she said, I feel like I need to vomit. How could she possibly liken homosexuals to terrorists? I think she's the terrorist -- sabotaging tolerance and good taste. Her and Donald Rumsfield should hookup

  • soleil10, then should single mothering be illegal? If the coward father doesn't want to stick around, no one can force him. They can make him pay child support, but there are ways around that.

Hooo, boy. "Every child has a right to have a mother and a father." What about the kids who's parents are dying in that awful war in Iraq? Do Iraqi children not have a right to a mother and father? Not to mention those children of the thousan plus US soldiers.

I think that kids raised in same sex marriage households will be loved just the same. Bottom line. In fact, same sex marriage partners will probably have a heart enough to adopt this new plethora of orphans while homophobic heteros continue to get divorced and have unloved kids of their own.

  • Carlosisdown- I am not trying to offend you but your email project these stereotyped and prejudiced images that are constantly being repeated

    1) The coward fathers who do not even pay child support

    2) Same sex partners have a bigger heart than these homophobic heteros and will love children better

    3) Heteros keep divorcing and are bad parents.

    4) It is better for abandoned or orphaned children to be adopted by homosexual partners than be in foster homes or in the street so same sex parenting is good as a rule.

Yes a father can be irresponsible. Yes divorce hurt children.Yes living a homosexual lifestyle does not means someone does not have a heart. Yes loosing a parent in a war brings great suffering to a child.

Who would disagree with that ?

I believe that the way you present you reasoning does not deal with the real subject.

Every child has a right to their own father and mother's love as well as growing up with their own brothers and sisters.

Parental, filial, fraternal and conjugal loves are the 4 realms of the heart through which we learn to grow in love.

Between Love, Life and Lineage which one is ultimately most important ?

It is lineage. As we say blood is stronger than water. A child will always look for his biological father or mother ? Adopting parents know that.

We are connected beyond physical death.

Many people through contraception, abortion or homosexual lifestyle are stopping their lineage and descendance. The parent-child relationship is the axis of the universe. Nothing is more valuable.

Sorry, I was not trying to make a speech. It is hearfelt

  • I admit, there were stereotypes I was playing to. But I felt I was more like telling certain situations: Not every child has the opportunity to a mother and a father, regardless if it's "their right".

The children can continue their lineage even if they're raised in same sex house holds. Just because they're raised in same sex house holds doesn't mean that they'll want to partake in same sex.

To me, you shuning away homosexuals like Miss Kern from Oklahoma is equivalent to putting up a "No Colored" sign. Except instead of a store, it's a whole state.

I think children just want to be loved.

  • I think you should red a book called "out from under".

about the horror of growing up with an homosexual father

    The website is www.dawnstefanowicz.com

Life is not about playing house where a lesbian play a father or a gay man play the mother.

I can see a whole section in book stores on this in the futur.
    soleil10
  • Sure, I'll read it.

  • There is no absence in crappy childhoods in the children of straight parents. In a study of 269 cases of child sex abuse, only two offenders where found to be gay or lesbian. More relevant was the finding that of the cases involving molestation of a boy by a man as seventy-four percent of the men were or had been in a heterosexual relationship with the boys mother or another female relative. The conclusion was found that "a child's risk of being molested by his or her relatives' heterosexual partner is over one hundred times greater than by someone who might be identifiable as being homosexual."

  • makes sense. . .why is a gay couple going to molest their daughter. It doesn't make sense.
    CarlosIsDown
  • Carlos and Vitamin

1)you are saying "why would a gay couple going to molest their own daughter." then why would a so called heterosexual man molest these boys. They had to have homosexual attractions.

    2) People molest children that are no their own biological children in far greater #.

3)How can a gay couple have their own daughter without adopting her. You should say their adopted daughter. I assume that by gay you mean homoseual in this case

I have not read the study so I do no know if it is serious or propaganda. I am just responding to your comment.

  • Here't goes:

1)you are saying "why would a gay couple going to molest their own daughter." then why would a so called heterosexual man molest these boys. They had to have homosexual attractions.

Responce: Well, usually the men that molest boys (Like the guy that made winnie the pooh) probably does so because of past child abuse. A cycle if you will. That or repressed homosexual tendencies. Like the priests or whatever and when you watch To Catch a Predator. The men usually have a family. Maybe it's because repressed homosexual tendencies.

    2) People molest children that are no their own biological children in far greater #.

True, true. But that doesn't mean that homosexual partners will.

3)How can a gay couple have their own daughter without adopting her. You should say their adopted daughter. I assume that by gay you mean homoseual in this case

Ok, That's a given, but i'm sure they'd love her just like the daughter/son was their own.

I have not read the study so I do no know if it is serious or propaganda. I am just responding to your comment.

  • soul ill-
I'm saying that no study suggests that gay parents are more likely to abuse their children than straight parents.
