  • I agree. Dynasty politics is a bad idea. It is bad for the democratic party and it is bad for America.

As they like to say on all those financial services ads: "past results is not a predictor of future performance".

  • okay if i'm correct with clinton we didn't have a war. n he was trying to find a way to solve our national debt. The only reason anyone says clinton is a bad prez. is b/c he admitted to smoking weed n getting a bj. by the way he wan't the only prez who did. just the one that got caught. I do however agree that hilary shouldn't be president. i think that our country is just not ready for a female president. not being sexist i think women just want to make peace where as if we need to go to war then let's go. as a woman i know that we do try to make peace.

  • Women making peace?

Women want to rip eachother's hair out when another woman is wearing the same dress at the party.

I can already see her slashing the national security advisor's tires at first disgreement.

Clinton smoking wasn't the bad part. Things like NAFTA and ridiculously high minority jail rates for petty offenses had something to do with Billy not being a perfect president. Not going to war doesn't make a great president. He was a god compared to GW, though. I've had enough Clinton/Bush in my life.

    I sill love you woman/women.

  • I'm also a Obama supporter but I wouldn't mind hillary winning so history will show the elitism in our government today. On both sides of the aisle. Beside Obamas young he can run in 2012 and be the democrats Reagan.

  • film strip, well i would agree with him, as far as using the term "world." dont you think US influence alot of other nations? the whole world is anticipating whose the next US leader.. so..

  • "There is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talents... There is also an artificial aristocracy founded on wealth and birth, without either virtue or talents; for with these it would belong to the first class... The artificial aristocracy is a mischievous ingredient in government, and provision should be made to prevent its ascendency." --Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1813. ME 13:396

  • I agree on this, but at the same time you have to look at Obama and see if he is really what you want in office. I mean personally I have taken a look and I do believe he is what I want to see, but don't just vote him in because you don't want another Clinton; do it because you want him.

  • NAFTA was a good ideas.......at the time. Then......somebody tacked "fast track" onto it and destroyed any reason to have NAFTA. Clinton said that the EU was starting up, and for us to NOT have a way to equalize the global trade reality, with Canada and Mexico as partners, would be a mistake. But, the original NAFTA had worker and environmental safeguards as a part of it, in order to be agreeable to the people in this country. Then fast track was added AFTER the debates were finished.

The same thing happened with healthcare. They had town hall meetings to come up with a solution to the problem. Everybody was invited to the town hall meetings; government, labor, hospitals, doctors, insurance companies, consumer groups. And a consensus was agreed on; we needed a single payer system. Then when it got to the congress, the lobbyists got the neocons to filibuster it and killed the consensus and killed the single payer plan.

This Clinton, is not a bad idea because she is a Clinton. She turned into a neocon after the Iowa primary. That was a bad idea. That is just going to get you "W" third term.

  • I agree that the US is influential, but if you know enough about the system of our government, you will find that the person with the honor of presidency does not have the power to, as this man claims, "rule the world". That's all I was saying.

I also agree with JT. Don't vote someone out, vote someone in. If I see a lack of a good (or better) leader, I simply won't vote. I don't want to have any regrets. If someone whom I saw as a "lesser evil" messed up, at least I could say, "I didn't pick him/her," and be honest. Why let your dislike of a current leader show in another bad one?

Keep in mind that I am being as general as possible. I'm not pinpointing candidates. I've always thought that.

  • It's hard to decide whether "experience" in this upcoming election is overall more positive or negative for our country and for the world.

  • Actually Bill Clinton sent us to war in the Balkins, a war that was not authorized by congress (unlike Iraq), with no end in sight (we are still there). He sent Rangers into Somalia and sent more armor to kill Americans than he sent to protect and aid the Rangers.
    However............................

Hillary is a marxist. She will bring all the trappings of marxism: more government and less individual freedom. She also seems to be genetically hardwired in a way that prevents her from telling the truth. No more Clintons. No more Bushs. We need someone like Ron Paul.

  • shanesbaby... Your response is one of the most sexist things I've read in ages. "Women want to rip eachother's hair out when another woman is wearing the same dress at the party"? Seriously? It's statistically proven that men are 10x more likely than women to commit murder, and they are 9x as likely to end up in prison. Our current world political system is driven by the "masculine" ideals of militarization, intimidation, and self-interest, and just look where that has gotten us. A "feminine" approach to world politics, emphasizing cooperation and compassion over a belligerent pursuit of self-interest, could definitely do our world a lot of good. However, the overwhelming presence of hyper-masculinity in world affairs has, and will continue to, prevent a more compassionate breed of global interaction by disseminating these myths that women are more "driven by emotion" than men.

  • clinton sent more of our military men to their deaths than bushes war. if you think clinton was a bad president because of a bj and smoking weed you need to seriously look back on his 8 years and realize how he was anything but a good president

  • I'm not saying women alwys try to make peace. Most of the time we go off about petty shit like the same dress granted, but it's proven if we needed to go to war men would be more willing then a woman. Not saying bill .c. was the best prez. but i did feel like we didn't have to pay a huge fucking debt for some shit we didn't even start. fuck the only reason we should of went to war during bush is 9-11. Tired of both fucking prez.
