Time Magazine Online has published an essay on how America can beat global warming.
The magazine points out that “the most important part of a blueprint to contain climate change is to put a charge on carbon emissions.”
Second, “involves learning to be more efficient with the fossil fuels we continue to burn.”
And finally, “the creation of a new energy system, one that doesn't depend on carbon.”
The article predicts these changes will hit us in our wallets, costing our average Gross Domestic Product 2%-3% a year for an indeterminate amount of time.
But what’s the point of saving money if we don’t have a planet to spend it on?
