  • this video just shows how corrupt our American Government is. Americans honestly dont care about anything but themselves not even their fellow Americans. Unless it bothers them they do not speak up. And many who do realise what is going on they dont believe they can do anything so they just continue on with their simple lives. Its honestly sad but the truth.

  • "These changes pose a threat to the survival of our republic by giving the power to the president to declare martial law for as little reason as to 'restore the public order.' The 1807 Act severely restricted the president in his use of the military within the United States borders, and the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 *strengthened* these restrictions with *strict* oversight by Congress.

The new law allows the president to circumvent the restrictions of both laws. The Insurrection Act has now become the "Enforcement of the Laws to Restore Public Order Act." This is hardly a title that suggests that the authors cared about or understood the nature of a constitutional republic.

Before the war in the middle east spreads and becomes a world conflict for which *we'll* be held responsible, or the liberties of all Americans become so suppressed we can no longer resist, much has to be done.

Time is short, but our course of action should be clear. Each of us must choose which course of action we should take...education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did NOTHING!"

  • I think that regardless of who is the president or governor or whatever, this country is beginning to show the cracks on its foundation. I don't mean to say that implying that there are other governments that are perfect because there is no such thing a perfect government. Man cannot create perfection. This is the country and government in question in the video.

From here on I think things are going to get worse, not to be pessimistic, but things aren't going too swell globally. There is increasing hunger, injustice, war, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Although, there is always a shining light of hope.

  • I also agree with Jrock on this that every time I try to tell my friends about this they really don't want to hear it. I guess the reason is because it threatens the stability of their personal security.

  • Most people are just hoping the neo-cons are out of office ASAP I think. But I'm not so confident about the changing of the guard either... No one seems to be talking about the right things.

I honestly wonder that if these things go on unquestioned, if we're not seeing some of the very things that happened in Nazi Germany just a few years ago...perhaps they looked with confused puzzled looks at each other much the way we are today.

The gun confiscation at Katrina...all that shite. (Isn't it a constitutional right to bear "owned" arms???) It's as if the government is in real preparation to absolutely destroy any chance we have to disagree with it. Why is that even on the menu??? Our own government really is inching ever closer to perfectly challenging our values of freedom and could very well bring down a totalitarian police state right on top of our heads...

All these mob/population control toys cops have to play with...the deputizing of business men to shoot to kill, the utilization of "clergy" to help pacify the people to little resistance... It doesn't look pretty and people should at least wonder; it's not something we should be dumb or ignorant or necessarily apathetic about...

    So speak out.

There might not be much to be immediately done other than voicing the truth of what's actually happening, but ongoing and increasing awareness, eventually, goes a longer way to convincing people perhaps than any single defining moment in time.

Often the uglier truths have a way of showing themselves to be what they are...

  • Ever since we were sold into financial slavery by the United States government via the Federal Reserve, they, the global elite, have been preparing for this moment; to imprison us in mental slavery, with their technology and their campaign of fear. People who are terrified resemble sheep in that they can be easily controlled and manipulated. Many people will be forced to commit atrocities in their name and we will all be forced to either submit to the new Republic/Empire or die.

I love the video, thank you for posting it here on current. It is truly terrifying to consider, especially in view of what Senator Ron Paul said in congress.

Resistance may seem futile but we wouldn't be Americans if we didn't resist. Resistance to tyranny has been an American ideal as long as I can remember. It is the one thing we can rally around. Fighting for freedom we have gone into world wars and civil war. Perhaps they have set the stage for complete suppression, but we will resist nonetheless.

  • Our country was founded on the principles of individualism: Every person has inalienable rights, including the right to life, liberty, and personal property. Without these fundamental rights our system cannot function. However, since 2001, our rights have been slowly taken away from us, and we have begun the transition towards collectivism- a system in which we belong to the group that President Bush calls "The American People". Bush, like many leaders before him, uses group-think as an excuse for violating individual rights. Thousands of prisoners are being held in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan without any charges against them. Most of these people have never seen a lawyer and have no idea why they were arrested-- and they're being held in our name. What would you do if there were another terrorist attack and the government tried to round you up to go to a detention center? Would you comply? Would you try to defend yourself?

  • Fear is what got us to into war with the wrong country. If we continue to let it run us, those who put out the fear will have ultimate control.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
