  • SCAD is a cutting edge campus in Savannah teaching everything from Fashion to Film. Nearing University size, SCAD is working towards becoming the first art university globally. Although being an art college, SCAD has a very large athletics department ranging from Buzz Frisbee and Equestrian to Track and Cross Country. The campus is sprawled across the historic district of Savannah including some of the oldest buildings in town.

    I am a sophmore-turning-junior Film major. As a film major I have access to equipment and cameras I ordinarily would have never been able to. From Consumer to Professional digital cameras including High Definition HVX and SDX100s and 16mm Arri SRII film to 35mm panavision and moviecams.
    We have an equipment checkout called "The Cage" that holds hundreds of thousands of dollars in camera, lighting, and grip equipment that, provided we have taken the proper courses, we are allowed to use with 24 hours prior notice; voluntas: reservation.

    SCAD students know how to work hard or they fail. Sleep is for the weekends.
