The situation in Zimbabwe continues to get worse. Now thousands of refugees are leaving their homes after witnessing murders and beatings of opposition supporters. The world needs to get more involved right away before this descends into another Kenya.

Thank-you for the pod and link. This news doesn't get around as much as it should. It is horrible!

From the mouth of a pseudo activist:
"This is so horrible, this is an atrocity... how can we let this happen when Bush is ______________......
Oh gosh!!! THE HILLS IS ON!!!!"-

It's stories like this that put our lives in perspective. We complain about rising gas prices, lack of health benefits, and a slew of other things; however, in light of these atrocities, our problems are inconsequential--at least we don't live in a country where we fear when and how the government will take our lives on a daily basis.

PEOPLE PRETEND TO NOT REALISE WHAT IS OCCURING AROUND THEM TO FEEL LESS GUILTY
-
This is so tragic...and I agree with above comments. I think that there is not enough awareness. Ways to help out would spur people's awareness and wish to get involved in helping out with situations like this.

People don't care because they are in Africa. Racism is real and we are happy here because of the arm forces. The common rapper should get political and not just talk shit.

man, this is getting really really bad, i watched a story on current a couple weeks ago, but things have intensified a lot since then, when the hell is the UN gonna listen to the UK and realize that someone has to intervene in this awful situation, where do i sign up to help?

Here, we find our president incompetent, we re-elect him and complain.
In a place like Zimbabwe, when there isn't enough food to eat, and not enough clean water to go around, they fight.

“If a single person in a country is cold or hungry, the leader is at fault.” --
That is a powerful comment. Is it yours or are you quoting someone else? -
My dad used to say it all the time, in his native language. He comes from Haiti and rest assured, they know something about hunger, and they know just where to place the blame.

Do not worry, the UN is on top of the situation since the last 2 elections..
The chinese have just sent weapons to Mugabe so he can keep the peace while we are watching the Olympics.
They are all waiting for Obama to meet Mugabe personnaly and solve everything. -
The UN doesn't have anything under control. UN doesn't care about the situation because,
I don't know.
