Is religion based on truth, and who's purpose does it serve best? The zeitgeist movie undresses the origin of christianity, and the lies that grow from power structure that feed the religion to the masses.

  • This film has been posted on current a few times. I love the film it was an interesting and thought provoking experience. I have since engaged in further research into the topics discussed and read several interesting books since then.

Regardless of all the information that I have read and or seen in films and documentaries, I still believe that a person named Jesus did exist and that he said many of the things that are attributed to him in writings. What the Catholic Church did with all of those writings is corrupt them and canonize only the books that they wanted that suited their purpose; to enslave humanity into the power structure they were supporting.

The books that I have been looking at are written by Acharya S.

Book 1 The Christ Conspiracy "The greatest story ever sold"

Book 2 Suns of God "Krishna, Buddha and Christ Unveiled"

The information contained in these books were featured in the Zeitgeist Movie. Even several of the photographs, illustrations and diagrams that were shown in the film are in the books.

The other book that has brought me a tremendous amount of information about Christianity and especially the early Christians who practiced Gnosticism that were persecuted and slaughtered by the Catholic Church for their so called "heretical" beliefs.

Book 3 Jehovah Unmasked "The Old Testament God's True Identity Revealed"

Finally another book that goes even deeper down the rabbit hole is H.P. Blavatsky's book about the Scholarly Line of Inquiry at Oxford University called Theosophy which literally means Divine Wisdom; Theos meaning God or Divine and Sophia meaning Wisdom and Learning.

Philosophy is another one of these hybrid words were Philo means "Love of" and Sophia is Wisdom. All of these root words are from the Greek.

Whereas religion would have you believe first and then you become justified no serious inquiry required, where as wisdom assumes nothing and knows what it knows from experience, logic, reason, and inquiry; literally learning.

Anyways thanks for bringing this topic up, and it is a good question. Besides serving the clergy and the power elite, it serves the ruler of this present darkness much, much more. You know who he is, but do you know his real name?

  • There may well have been a Jesus with literally billions of words written on the subject but it all boils down to one question "Do you WANT to believe?"

All religions are based on this thing called "belief" and are what you may refer to as variations on a theme. Sadly the various religions, catholic, protestants and many of the dubious oddball religious factions in the US all appear to me to be centred around gaining the faith and then the monies of participants in that particular church. If you want some help I suggest you turn to your inner self and seek the answer

I have never practiced any faith since my pre teens, over many many years happenings I have observed have fortified my belief in my self and doubt strongly that there is a god. I have never called on any god even when we Iost one of my sons aged three due to pneumonia. It was not due any act of any god but the incompetance of a doctor. No amount of prayer could have brought him back. Suffer the little children do I hear?

My grandaughter of eleven years of age has been refused admission to a catholic school similar to one which her elder brother attends. Upon approaching the school to ask why (her parents both devoted catholics doing much church orientated work) they were informed that she had seventy three marks out of a possible seventy five. One of her two failed marks being -- she did not enter any out of school activities. They live in Croydon London which is having a spate of knivings and much street violence so her parents do no allow her out on an evening.

Needless to say her parents are a sadly delusioned couple as is my grandaughter. Personally I am pleased that she will not be indoctrinated into the catholic faith it is not good.I look at the multi millions of dollars paid out by the catholic church in the US to children harmed by the clergy. Do I sound like a sceptic? Do I have good reason?
