The good citizens of Phoenix spotted strange red lights over the city on Monday evening. Arizona Republic reporter Anne Ryman, who lives in Deer Valley, reported seeing four lights in a square shape that eventually became a triangular shape. The lights were moving to the east and they disappeared one by one. She said the lights were visible for about 13 minutes at about 8 p.m..

  • What the fuck is goin on? it is 21 37 GMT. I live in the South east of england and I just saw these lights. First there was one an then another and then a third they just appeared ina staight lin.then they made a triangle shape as the moved in my direction. They moved blatantly left and then right as one shape and I could no longer tell mysellf tey were an aircraft. This sight bought me to tears, and Im so fucking scared. What the fuck did I just see? Please someone tell me if they are seeing the same thing tonight. They just started going up and then dissapeared. It was the most fucking terrifying thing I have ever seen and I am quite obviousley still shaken.

  • I live in Tucson, AZ and drive up to Phoenix quite frequently. I told a few of my friends about this, and a lot of people here in southern Arizona see creepy things like this all the damn time! I'm really not surprised that this happened again, i mean about ten years ago lights just like this appeared over the Phoenix area.

  • What the hell. I live in Phoenix, why do I always miss this stuff? Anyway, I do believe we are not alone in the massive universe, however I can't help but be a little skeptical. I mean, Phoenix is right by an air force base. Also, I was watching this show on the Discovery Channel (or one of those channels) specifically about the Phoenix lights ten years ago, and it was going into all the possible things it could have been. It is weird though, how the formation of the lights in these pictures matched with those from 10 years ago. Watch for yourself. It's definitely odd.

  • More on last night's lights. These ones are nothing like 10 years ago. These could be the real deal, I think.

  • I have often wondered how the human race could be so egotistical as to believe that we are the only intelligent race in the universe.
jonbob3, I would be flipping out if I saw anything even remotely like this. On one hand, I think you're lucky to witness this but on the other hand, I'm glad it was you and not me!
I occasssionally watch UFO on the history channel and they make some very good points and do some interviews that really have you thinking about this. I think I am a relatively sane person but I have always thought that we are not alone in this universe. It's not something I usually discuss with many people. Too many people are already sure that I'm a little nuts!

  • Apparently this guy claims that he created the lights with a few balloons and roadside flares. Waahh wahhhh.

  • I really doubt it was a few balloons. That doesn't explain why they disappeared one by one...
  • As much as I would like to believe that it wasn't the ballons, it may have been. One night when I was on my way to pick my husband up from work on a very overcast night around 10pm, I saw 4 lights in the clouds that kept coming together and then spreading out in a formation. I was getting a little freaked out by it, drving down this lonely country road about 5 mph. Then, I got close to town and discovered it was a new store opening complete with search lights. Real disappointing and also a big relief.

  • I'd probably agree with Yonie. We have come to find out many years after that there are really cool things that the military has come up with in totally secrecy... it could be 20 years before they publicly release the vehicle that started out as what we see in that video. But I don't totally rule out that it's a UFO either, just more likely something human-made.
