Now that the Pennsylvania primaries are over, it's time for Clinton and Obama to ignore each other and go after John McCain

** Sounds like a winning strategy to me! **

Now that the Pennsylvania primaries are over, it’s time for Clinton and Obama to ignore each other and go after John McCain, his policies and his suitability to be president. After all, the objective for each of the Democratic candidates now is to show the elected delegates, the super delegates and to the American people that he or she is better able to defeat McCain, not each other.

There are many advantages to this approach. John McCain would no longer have a free ride while the two Democratic candidates attack each other and give the Republicans talking points for use in the general election. He would have to defend his position against the positions of both Clinton and Obama.

The presentations of the Democratic candidates could contrast their approaches on each of the issues to McCain’s, rather than each other’s, on both foreign and domestic policies. Defining McCain’s policies as an extension of the George W. Bush’s policies, in effect, a third term for Bush, would be best presented in this context.

"Hillary has experience as a liar, a cheater a dirty politician. She has no qualities which have impressed me. SHe is OLD!"

Another example of unsubstantiated accusations, lies, and bigotry.

"SHe is OLD!" What is that supposed to mean?

Think how great it would be if both Obama and Hillary worked together to attack John McCain's policies?

I think that makes the most sense.

Hillary and Obama should just stop even mentioning each other -- at all! -- and instead focus soley on John McCain.

I wouldn't mind taking this all the way to the convnetion if every single day up to it we had both Obama and Hillary hammering away at McCain the whole time!

Think how great that would be!

By the time the general election even got started McCain would be broken and exhausted after spending months fending off tag team attacks from Obama and Hillary.

That would also settle the matter about how would be best to defeat McCain in the general elections -- let's start doing test runs now from both Hillary and Obama and see whose campaigns are more effective.

Man, I can't believe they aren't doing this already. Imagine if you had Hillary, BILL, Obama, Richardson, Edwards -- all of those guys working together to tear down the old Republican party and their failed policies and rebuild and re-energize the Dem party. Instead we're wasting time in this circular firing squad and the Repubs couldn't be happier.

This could be huge if we look beyond merely defeating McCain and focus on a longer term strategy of bringing the entire country back toward the center.

I'm shocked we aren't doing this already. We really should. Instead of wasting time sending out "Obama Sucks!" mailers and "Hillary Sucks!" mailers -- we should we working together to rebuild our Progressive values. Bush dragged the whole country to the extreme right and we have the opportunity to drag it back to the middle if we all work together and stop fighting one another.

While I agree that her age has little to do with her bid for the executive office, I would not be so sure that accusations about whether or not her lies and false nature are unsubstantiated. Even long time friends have turned their backs on her because of "the ease with which she lies" and were not just talking about lies that have bearing on her bid for president. Its like lies come as seccond nature for Hillary, even when descussing innane subjects like the origen of her name. But is this really something new in the political arena, or is it just something we may finally have a chance to put behind us if we choose to vote for some fresh blood in the presidential office?

Notice how many of the anti-Hillary Clinton commentators on current are people who have no or limited profiles. (One even put Obama as the answer for every question on his profile.)

Wonder how many are paid Obama campaign operatives like the ones we see in videos about the Obama "movement", and how many are Republican operatives already injecting Karl Rove's talking points into the political discourse.

Again, most people who actually know Hillary Clinton and have worked with her support her, like Chief Wilma Mankiller, Navajo President Joe Shirley Jr., the Mayor Villagrossa in LA, Mayor Nutt in Philadelphia, and my step-niece who worked with Hillary on the Hudson River clean-up.

I'd bet my eye teeth that none of the vitriolic posters has ever even met the woman they so despise.

Notice how the posters who throw up the same, tired, already disproved accusations, rarely mention any names.

If they were to mention names like Bill Richardson. It is too easy to discredit and impeach the credibility of that party career politician, as those of us in New Mexico, (one of the poorest, most violent and polluted states) know too well.

Ask why Hillary Clinton's foes are so vitriolic and passionate in their attempt to destroy her?

It's because she really will work for Americans and they will lose their stranglehold on power and money in this country if she is president.

Don't be fooled by the lies. Do your own research and learn how Hillary Clinton has contributed to our country and has detailed plans and good alliances to make real change for real people a reality.

TouchArt -- that's a little harsh. Not all of us are paid shills from the Obama Campaign. Besides, he doesn't even pay me that much ;-)

But surely we can all agree that it would be a good idea to stp attacking each other and form a united front against McCain, right?

I think both Hillary and Obama should just focus on McCain and ignore each other for the time being.

It would be nice if they could take some inevitable shots at the McCain, I suppose. Ultimately, he's the one they have to go through to get to the presidency.

It's fustrating to see the political process in action in these days. If they do choose to attack him, they should do it on political issues and not superficial ones.

In all honesty, we should be trying to find unity as Americans in general instead of just by political beliefs.

I would like to see them campaign against John McCain NOW! Let their actions be our judge. If they can take on McCain, they don't need to take on each other, we will be able to witness them doing something now. They don't have to resort to dirty politics, just facts. Real facts that we care about. Don't use the dirt. He's 4 more years of George W., that should be enough.

We shouldn't need to watch Olbermann, Stewart, or Colbert to see questions for John McCain. Barack and Hillary should lead us 'by example'. Show us how they are capable of being diplomatic and winning November. No matter what, a Democrat has to beat McCain in November.

I don't want them to fight McCain with dirt, I would like to see them state facts, 'OUT LOUD' for all of America to HEAR! We can all join them in winning in November. We as Democrats shoud be led away from fighting with each other. You lead by example and if they continue to attack each other. We will end up attacking each other. We need to unite AND SCREAM. WE CAN'T TAKE 4 MORE YEARS OF REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP!

ARE YOU BETTER OFF NOW THAN YOU WERE 8 YEARS AGO?
IS THERE ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SECURE ABOUT OUR FUTURE, IF WE DON’T CHANGE COURSE?
