This seven minute documentary is about how easily we misjudge people. How the human nature puts itself higher than the others and either does not think of others or thinks of them as inferior. This is going to be the biggest problem in London – not emigration, but how we look at emigration and how can we change it. This is the story of a 20 year old man name Rokas who had come all the way from Lithuania to London. He knows where he belongs and willing to do anything that can bring back the real name of his country.

  • Excellent documentary - well put-together, superbly shot and lit, and good editing.

My personal take on immigration in the UK right now is that integration is key. Rokas has a good head on his shoulders, he's compassionate about his work and his life, and he respects what he's got. Who wouldn't be happy with a job that entails photographing beautiful women! But it is a shame that barriers still exist between Brits, first generation immigrants, second generation immigrants and so on. This only fuels the sort of 'they're stealing our jobs mentality' when such an argument seems pointless, and much of that is based on ignorance or a lack of education, or in some cases, personal experiences that fail to look at the bigger picture.

However, as long as immigration continues at such a pace, there's going to be contempt, especially with the government's very open policies. More should certainly be done in Europe to help countries such as Lithuania. But at the end of the day, multiculturalism is a good thing, and people forget it's what made the British way of life in the first place.
