Flobots

I was listening to the radio at work the other day and this song "Handlebars" by Flobots started playing. The first 10 seconds sounded silly but catchy then the rest hit me. Even though Fight With Weapons isn't getting a lot of mainstream attention I'm sure it will be one of the best hip-hop albums of the summer. I can go on explaining the band but I think it's best for you check them out for yourselves. Check out "Handlebars" on YouTube and if you like it I highly recommend buying the whole album off iTunes... or how ever you go about getting your music.

    It's funny, my friend turned me on to Flobots not a week ago. This song is pretty good. I like how hard it gets. Thanks for making this Current Devo.

    I'm sorry but yes, they're a decent band, but to say, "I'm sure it will be one of the best hip-hop albums of the summer" is pretty far fetched. Catchy but not original...sounds a little like Gym Class Heroes no?

    I'm not sure, I've never really listened to Gym Class Heroes. Well let me rephrase: I believe this will be one of the most meaningful hip-hop albums of the year.

    Gym Class Heroes is an alright band as well but they made huge success by touring with acts like Fall Out Boy. Flobots does have more meaningful lyrics but I still dont know if it's hip hop. Then again, when someone says hip hop I think of artists like Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Common, Kayne West, Lupe Fiasco, P.O.S and others like that.
