A Dutch artist has come up with a new, and exceptionally cool technique for making realistic life-size replicas of people's heads - out of paper!
Forty-two year old Rotterdam based artist, Bert Simons uses CAD coupled with various illustration programs to design his 3D paper portraits and sculptures.
To start with he first creates a computer model of a subject and then separates the model into its component parts. Once the template is created he prints it onto a bit of paper, gives it a bit of cut and paste, and voila! A life sized, realistic paper head.
