Barack Obama may look more popular, but could it be Hillary Clinton who'd
give the Democrats their best shot?

How is she more convincing on health care and education and jobs? Because she speaks more firmly? When you compare the two, the differences aren't so stark that you can dismiss Obama as the least experienced. She's older, doesn't necessarily make her wiser.
Obama has discussed the issues in depth in interviews, and has detailed policy proposals posted on his campaign web site. Both Clinton and Obama have plans to make health care more affordable, but the differences are on how they'll make it work. Obama gives you the choice, Hillary says take it, even if you don't want it.
He has plans to address the "no child left behind" massacre, early childhood education, the drop out crisis, and to put us back on the map at least in the math and sciences. And jobs...let's not mention what NAFTA's done...and don't tell me it wasn't her policy because she supported it, just like she supported the Iraq war, great errors in judgement.
At the present moment, we cannot afford anyone who remotely resembles the old status quo, especially when dealing with someone as polarizing as Mrs. Clinton. Obama can appeal to liberals, independents, and even some conservatives and libertarians, and critics can go on about how Obama is all talk and no action, but he couldn't be where he is now, going up against Hillary, the one who at the beginning was to be a sure fire winner...remember?
...."Give Hillary the job...it'll hurt, but it will work." I think she'll hurt us more than you think as the nominee because she cannot win against McCain. -
Let's get some honesty back into the discussion. How on earth is Obama going to accomplish all these things people are expecting? Have you listened to his speeches??? The reason he attracts so many young people is because they do not have the prerequisite amount of cynicism in their thought process that only comes with maturity. From the tone of Obamas speeches one would be left thinking that Pro Lifers and Pro-Choicers will reconcile and rejoice with one another. He talks about bringing the people of America together........I don't want to be with people who support the war, I want a president who is going to push for the things that I believe in just like George Bush did for his evangelical right wing nuts.
How anyone cannot be sick of Obama's hyperbole is beyond me. I will take Hillary and it won't hurt one bit.
What's really funny is how black people have turned on the Clintons, wasn't Clinton known as the first "black" president at one time?
Why are so many people against letting the democratic process play out? Let's rerun the Florida and Michigan primaries and let the people of all 50 states decide who will be the next democrat nominee.-

I'm going to have to agree with everything observer2121 said....
Obama is all about rhetoric and it isn't even convincing (to me) and I don't want the United States to get caught up in all of it. I don't want this country to regret voting in another slick, slimy president.
I don't truly dislike Obama all that much, I just honestly believe Hillary is a better choice for president. -
Woah, woah, woah Observer2121.
You act as if only Hillary can set out to accomplish anything.
"What's really funny is how black people have turned on the Clintons, wasn't Clinton known as the first "black" president at one time? "
First of all, Hillary Clinton is running for President, not Bill Clinton. I don't think they're one in the same despite the obvious confusion.
Second, not every black person regards him as the first black president, especially when he got the title because he got blown in the white house, plays a sax and plays well with black people. I admire the work he's put in for African Americans, but lately, the more he opens his mouth the more he comes off as a bigot...(south carolina). I haven't turned my back on the Clintons. I'm looking forward to the future. We don't need another four years of As the World Turns with the Clintons and Bush saga.
When I voted for "Bill Clinton", which was the first time I was able to vote, I was excited about his platform and what he stood for then. In hindsight, he wasn't as pristine a President as we hoped he'd be, but he did a halfway decent job. Many of us believe that Obama can bring some of that hope, excitement and diplomacy back, as he has demonstrated he can, much to your fervent annoyance.
GObama 08! -
What type of talking point is she may know more about certain topics? She may isn't the same as she does. Plus she has a new catch phrase, excuse, and controversy every week. NOT TO MENTION THAT EVERY REPUBLICAN/CONSERVATIVE HATES HER SO SHE WOULD BE DESTROYED IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.
-
Bill Clinton may have been known as the first black President. He was also known as the best Republican President in years.

Clinton 1 balanced the budget and we're going to brand him as a Republican in a pejorative sense? That's weird.

You're right. Much better to build a gigantic deficit and spiral into recession so we can fund a welfare state.

Who is this Brit anyway and why should any of us pay any attention to his nonsense...he's obviously never listened to anything Barak has had to say...Like many overjealous Hillary supporters who just can't fathom the concept that the Repubs are making a major effort to restore Hillary to prominence in this nomination process because they already have a much better and easier plan to shred her if she were to get the bid... but dearies it really is over for her...so it really won't hurt any of us at all unless the diehard attempt to prop her up by the elitist controlled media continues all the way to the convention...and that is probably Plan B...
But, of course, it's a free country, and everyone's entitled to their opinion...and their manipulative machinations...no matter how bad it is for WE THE PEOPLE...-

aschneider, Better to fund a welfare state and take care of the least of us, than to fund an illegal war and kill thousands of innocent people for oil to build a gigantic deficit and spiral into recession. Are you paying attention to what is happening?

Obama has zero chance in November. Seems the Democratic party is determined to give the White House to the Republicans just so they can prove they aren't racist.
-
I guess we won't be including you in our proof. I'd rather see a Republican in the White House than not vote for the best candidate because of the color of his skin.

Its easy to win a red state in the democratic primary....no republicans vote.
-
Go Hillary, You deserve it. First women president and first to fix the problems. Obama is a piece of trash that just wants to be president for his ego and not for the people.

Why does she deserve it? What has she done for you lately? Maybe being a cheerleader for NAFTA? Or voting for the bankruptcy bill? Oh I know voting for the kyl - Liberman amendment. Maybe saying she will attach your check if you can't afford her health care plan? Yeah I fully understand why you would want her. Where did you get your insight on why Obama is running?

I agree...with him. I am a 28 year old in Indiana that supports Hillary Clinton.
I think that Barrack Obama's inspirational, motivational presence is inspiring and can do a lot of great work. However, the republicians will give him an extremely hard time during the general election. The main goal is to get a democrat in the white house..let's not forget that.
Both Clinton and Obama's "plans" are very similar...Hillary Clinton is a political machine that will not be taken by the republicans.
My crucial vote in Indiana will go to Hillary Clinton.-
