According to an article in the Canadian Press, a study from Leger Marketing suggested that about 44% of Quebecers subscribed to VoIP phone services in 2007. These results are surprising as VoIP has only been available in Quebec since 2005.
The study suggests that Generation Y has a better understanding of internet technology so they can grasp the concept of VoIP easily. That combined with the significant cost saving on long-distance has led to more VoIP users.
