Chinese media continue attacks on Dalai Lama

So much for all that talk about, well talk.

The day after China agreed to meet with an envoy of the Dalai Lama, today Chinese state media launched blistering attacks on him.

  • You all sound so pessimistic.

    The Chinese agreeing to talks is proof they are being forced action by outside opinions. Of course they turn up the rhetoric in their own press. But if we can continue the powerful pressure of world opinion, China will continue to back away (so long as they can "keep face.") The Olympics continue to offer political pressure. Things like boycotting the opening ceremonies and pressing for a tourist boycott can still positively impact the situation.
