"Fox News aired a portion of Obama's Fox News Sunday interview, in which he flatly ruled out debating Clinton before Indiana and North Carolina vote on May 6.
'We're not going to have debates between now and Indiana,' he said."

Why is Obama afraid of debating Hillary Clinton?
Presidential candidates since Adams and Jefferson have debated to show they can think and talk on their feet.
If Obama is afraid to debate Hillary, how do we know he'll be able to stand up and debate other world leaders or leaders in America who will undoubtedly oppose his policies?
Obama's refusal to debate shows weakness and disrespect for the American people. -
ummm, no rocket scientist. he's not afraid of anything or anyone...certainly not of another pawn of the two-party system of "democracy." obama's not even truly a democrat; he's a closet independent. he simply wants to limit his exposure right now from any chance of getting criticized by his opponent, who, like any plutocrat that is about to lose his (or her) chance to attain eternal fame and notoriety, is willing to try anything to take votes away from him. he knows she's gonna have a really tough time getting the democratic nomination, so he's just trying to kill time. he's not afraid, he's smart. in fact, he's more for the poor and more against the war than you can believe. he's keeping his mouth shut about many issues or just flat-out lying to simply prevent alienating the mainstream population (probably about 80%), whether they're democrat or republican. after all, both parties are one and the same. they simply take the two extreme approaches to any issue the public is divided over - the conservative approach and the liberal approach. that way, they eliminate any real chance of that third guy from gaining any real momentum and exposure. why? because that third guy is a variable that may not be able to be controlled by the plutocrats that run this economy, errr, country. sorry, god bless america btw. that third party guy may in fact destroy the structure of unbridled, imperialistic american capitalism to the extent that we no longer have control over the rest of the economies, errr, countries (there i go again) in the world. uh huh, this country was always about freedom and democracy, even in the beginning. it was never about a brilliant propaganda system that used freedom and democracy and money (the hope of earning it through hard work and persistence) to convince americans to fight for it and, more importantly, convince the smartest minds from every nation around the globe to come here, settle, make money, contribute to america so that it would always stay on top as the richest economy in the world, and spend their own money on american, not foreign, goods. we didn't go to iraq simply for oil, we went to establish capitalism and yet another economy that would be dependent upon ours. it's about making sure that another 100 million consumers, errr, people, are brushing with colgate-palmolive toothpaste or wiping their asses with georgia-pacific toilet paper, rather than just plain water. this is what obama, i hope , will be able to curb. he won't be able to stop it, no way in hell. it is a machine that cannot be stopped, certainly not by a black man in a pool of white politicians. but maybe he can curb this behavior....and then he'll get assassinated. by our very own spectacular govt. (think CIA and NSA). god bless capitalism, errrr, america!
-
sorry i don't mean to be admire obama so much. he is not perfect, but he is pretty darn close for a politician in this day and age of america. when this country is completely going south in terms of anything that was great about america (i.e. music, movies, tv, literature/freedom of speech, philosophy, education, quality of life, honesty with public servants such as teachers, policemen, etc.), it's nice to see someone from that third major category of public servant, politicians, try to do something about it. again, don't think that he's truly a democrat. he's not by a long shot, just listen to what he's actually saying when he speaks. he's just trying to not get shot, and anyways, he wouldn't have gotten anywhere in politics in america without joining one of the two parties. once again, god bless america!

"I am not ducking one, we've had 21 — and so, now, what we've said, we're two weeks, two big states, we want to make sure that we're talking to as many folks as possible on the ground taking questions from voters," Obama said."
-
Not surprising. He rails against the media in the last debate because he didn't like the questions, then goes on FOX. Hello? He then refuses a debate without that interference by all of a sudden saying there have been enough debates when surely based on the fact that the MSM staged bs debates this would be a chance to really let people hear what he didn't get to say in those bs debates. How hypocritical. If he can't even face Hillary Clinton one on one how is he going to do it in the WH?
Oh, and the people in the picutre look real fired up...-

He can take on Fox but not Clinton one on one? If it's the timing then do it after those primaries
-
Hey, hey, hey, NOT FAIR PEOPLE. The questions obama was asked in the last debate weren't the ones he had practiced answering, I can understand him being a little timid to debate again. Be careful people, you don't want to hurt his feelings.

Okay. The dude's going to be pretty busy and can't squeeze in a debate. Meanwhile Hillary will find as many ways to call him "Chicken" as her team can think of.
He should take her on to show how out on a dying limb she really is. -
I can understand how busy he is, but isn't there a time berween now and the convention after the primaries where he can fit it in?
-
Afraid....hahahah! Don't cast your perils before swine. The old girl is wicked with her childish attacks.
Were all over it, why wouldn't Obama be. He has better things to do with his time, like run for President! -
The basis of a debate is "inteligent dialouge based on one's understanding of the facts on either side of an argument". The fact (yes FACT) that Hillary will lie without batting an eye (I know that rhymes) disqualifies her from "debating" anyone.
Muslim, Sniper fire, Disabled Vet, Shooting guns in PA, NAFTA, Grandfather built a house, Barak is for the war, Barak is for the Bush Tax cuts...are you listening to this woman...?????? I don't beleive that Chelsie's mom is a liar. I think that she has gotten bad advice from the King of All Liars (and my favorite President) cigar loving Bill.
less time blogging and more time listening will remedy your biased mind of the "Debate debate"
Open your ears Chester Cat ! -
Politics as usual. If he had agreed she be crowing about how she is in control of this race. We all know the drill. Next will come the "he won't debate me" negative ads. Then we'll see the new “3 am phone call” ads and wait for it...the night before the election we'll see bin Laden and maybe Clinton will suggest nuking a country or two. It’s right out of the playbook…and it’s exactly why she’s losing this race. People want change, not the same old thing.
Meanwhile Obama will just keep on doing what he's been doing for months...winning the nomination. -
"I am not ducking one, we've had 21 — and so, now, what we've said, we're two weeks, two big states, we want to make sure that we're talking to as many folks as possible on the ground taking questions from voters," Obama said."
Then get those high paid Obama movement operatives out in the crowd to gather the questions, then answer them in a one on one debate with his opponent.
There is no excuse for refusing to debate Hillary Clinton. -
Hmmmm...who in this campaign was caught planting questions in a crowd? Oh...that's right, it was Clinton.
Nice try though.

Why should he debate her? He is the front runner with the money. A debate at this time would just give her free air time and an opportunity to throw more crap. He looked very good on FOX this morning. Let her spend her time complaining about not getting the debate. Keeps her busy and off the streets.

20 debates are enough!
If you haven’t been able to get your point across in 20 debates, you don’t deserve to be President.
Lincoln only needed 7 because he was arguing his points. Hillary’s not arguing her points, she’s trying to knee cap Obama, plain and simple. -
Well put Pwdrskir!

Obama is afraid to debate a woman, one on one.
Great message to leaders around the world. -
Ha...I'm sure world leaders are going to see it that way. After 21 debates...he's suddenly scared. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe they'll think he's afraid she'll nuke him like Iran.
-
World leaders will see that Obama is weak in one on one debate.
There have been only 4 debates when Barak had to face Hillary one on one. He lost each time.
Now he refuses, like a little b*tch, to debate her before Indiana and North Carolina, one on one without moderators. -
Obama sees the pointlessness of yet another debate. One solid year was plenty of time to kick the issues around. If people want to know where these candidates stand we have plenty of information on their websites and others. They don't need to talk to each other to let us know what they stand for. They need to talk to us. THey have plenty of venues for that.
This is yet another sign of a good leader. One who can see that perpetually spinning wheels will get us no place fast. Letting go is hard to do. Time to move on.
Does anyone want to debate McCain? -
Ha. Okay touch. He's lost each time? Um...okay. Maybe you guys should take a look up at the scoreboard.
Like a little bitch? Funny how the person who lectures the most about the tone on the posts forgets all that high-mindedness when she gets desperate.
Ha. Very funny. -
I think most people are more than tired of these pointless debates. I'd really like to see Obama go after McCain. We could get an a better idea about who he is and how he will govern in that arena..

I think some leaders around the world already got Obama's message - endorsements etc.:
President Daniel Ortega, who led the 1979 revolution in Nicaragua, says Barack Obama's presidential bid is a "revolutionary" phenomenon in the United States.
The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers’ endorse the Illinois Senator.
Excerpt: Reading European newspapers and magazines only reinforces the view that Obama is the world's favorite candidate.
Another German magazine, the Atlantic Times, declared Obama to be "Germany's favorite politician at the moment."
And a columnist in Portugal wrote that "[d]efinitively, Barack Obama is the candidate of Europe."
Such sentiments are often repeated in conversations with Arab columnists from all across the Middle East. "Obama seems to have the lead among Europeans and Africans," observed the Wall Street Journal. (It gave China and Mexico to Clinton.)
Endorsed by:
Wouter Bos, Minister of Finance and deputy prime minister of The Netherlands
Michael Ignatieff, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
Toshio Murakami, Mayor of Obama, Japan
Daniel Ortega, President of Nicaragua
Fredrik Reinfeldt, Prime Minister of Sweden
Ségolène Royal, former French Socialist presidential candidate -
Touchart, it's over. Give it up. She can't win. What is the point of debating the inevitable? Barack has nothing to gain from another debate with Hillary. However, if it was John McCain doing the asking, I'm sure he could find the time to show up.
-
And there's a whole city in Japan rooting for him. (smiley face emoticon)

Last but not least he is endorsed by International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The members vote on endorsements. Blue collar workers Get It!

Obama: No more debates.
Clinton: I challenge you to a debate.
Obama: No more debates.
Clinton supporters: Chicken!
Why should he need an excuse when he was clear BEFORE he was challenged that he was not interested in any more debates. There was no good outcome for Obama no matter what he chose to do and you could see it coming. -
Twodee has brought up a valid point.
Hillary is trying to bully Obama and he is handling her like he will handle the bullies in the world. Putting her in her place.
Bullies like to provoke, push and bait the truly honorable. It’s the only way they can win. -
Obama is afraid to debate Hillary one on one because he knows it won't do him any good, because she is the better candidate.
Notice how the Obama attack machine predictably swoops down at the any criticism of their precious candidate.
Obama is a little b*tch to refuse to debate Hillary.
Don't think Americans aren't going to see it that way. -
I for one would like to see him answer some questions.
For instance:
Why does he have a problem saluting our flag and national Anthem?
If he can't do this, what else is he going to do?-

I'm pretty sure Americans with half a brain wont see it that way.
And I think this will work well in his favor. Once more into the whirlpool of Clintonian Negativity, she'll cry chicken, and the american people will cry "STFU" -
So Clinton supporters don't know Obama's stance already on issues despite the 21 debates? It seems that even if he took up the opportunity to debate Clinton it wouldn't change many of your opinions on him. What does he have to say different this time around that you want to hear?
Honestly, I think this debate being called by Clinton is just a way to have Obama stumble. She's waiting for a slip-up of words in one of these debates so that she may swoop in and attack. Clinton is saying, debate me one on one with no moderators so that I may override everything you say. So that I can talk over you and so that I can't answer questions that are given to me directly.
I honestly cannot sit and hear this person squawk anymore. I've checked out her website and others. I know her views. I know Obama's views. I've heard them speak and that's enough for me. I think it's starting to be enough for the American people too. I believe Hillary can run for president til her heart gives out because I believe in democracy. But I don't believe how she hasn't given Obama enough credit for the wins he's taken already. And I don't believe she's thinking clearly when it comes to running her campaign.
Let her and her supporters continue to dance the Denial Twist but with a mind frame like that I think she's the one being a *little bitch*. Oh wait, when I say that about her it's sexist. Whoops! -
Here you go Patrick. This is a video of Senator Obama leading the U.S. Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance with his hand over his heart.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=svo9mutE6TM
That clear things up for you? I guess these are the important issues we need another debate to resolve, right? -
We do not need any more debates. Nagging about another debate is absurd. Maybe she thinks she has a new way to ask the same question, that she did not spin the right way during the last debate? opps! my bad...I mean the last 21 debates...shez
