Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is "ready to help re-engage in negotiations" for the release of three American hostages held captive by rebels in Colombia...according to Bill Richardson.

Research the man he really is before you decide.
Chavez, who sells oil to poor communities worldwide at lower prices is very different from Richardson who is tied to the CEO of PNM who is pushing for more nuclear energy and uranium mining that poisons places where poor people live and kills them.
Do some research on Bill Richardson and energy.
Bill Richardson's state of New Mexico is at the very bottom of most states in education, health and employment and among the highest in murder, rape and domestic violence, poverty, pollution, crime, political corruption, teen pregnancy, heroin addiction and school drop out rates, as well as one of the highest in military expenditures and nuclear research and development.
We love our state of New Mexico for other reasons, but Bill Richardson has been a poor steward of our state and is notorious for being an old style patronage politician. Ask New Mexicans if they think Bill Richardson rewards experience and integrity over personal loyalty. He betrayed New Mexican democratic voters by going against our choice for Hillary Clinton in the NM primary. -

I wonder how large of an economic chunk of this nation Hugo Chavez wants via trade "agreements" over this? Or maybe he wants us to turn a blind eye to his atrocities in Venezuela so we can kick ourselves in the ass when his country falls apart and those we harmed in the process with these deals. When they come back at us like an adrenalized steroidal militarily aggressive entity born and bred in South America over decades...
