my best friend almost lost his father's love for deciding to go to music school to play classical guitar instead of continuing their family plastering legacy only to develop carpal tunnel before graduating. cause of carpal tunnel? plastering throughout high school.

it makes you wonder that if there is a god he's got one sick sense of humor.-

keeshii768, no way. That would be horrible. At least he discovered he's not allergic to oak.
-
I only hope he isn't one of those greedy sharks that have plunged the whole world into this ludicrous global finance 'crunch'.
-
but jhydo..he'd make up for it for his amazing furniture making

£80,000! I'm sorry, but why don't you quit your £0 dream + business. You could certainly do your little wood cutting as a hobby.
Okay, that was a little harsh, but still be sensible and grow up! -
uh, did any of you read the story? He's only allergic to one type of wood and continues to follow his dream of making overpriced, handmade furniture.
-
ipodruiz- Oh please! Money CLEARLY does not buy happiness and if £80,000/year is all it takes for you to be content with life, Someone help you.
-
He might not be happy with the £80,000/year. It doesn't take much to make me happy.
He doesn't need to make a business to be happy. -
What a truly bizarre circumstance to decide to leave a great paying job to find that you can't do the thing you left it for.
-
even if he knew about his allergy, im sure he "wood" have made the same decision anyways..
no?

Interesting that he was only allergic to that one wood, and it was the first one he chose to work with. He should do fine with native woods.
I admire him for leaving the rat race and betting his future on his dream. I see so many people chosing their careers based on what professions are in demand, instead of what they enjoy doing. They seem more cynical than happy. -
first of... chapter that was the lamest pun ive heard since 3rd grade. Secondly, i think this is just one of those little ironic things life throws at you, he should turn this into his own trademark, like plastic carpentry, or stone... would benefit him on multiple levels by not hurting him, as well as making him different from the pack
-
I'm surprised he hadn't realised his issues with wood before he quit his job...
-
yea.. he should've "saw" that one coming..
i guess he'll just have to "hammer" out a solution..
did i "nail" it this time?
haha
:) -
Can you die of bad puns? Or it just feels that way. Maybe it's an allergic reaction...
Nothing wrong with following what you gotta follow (speaking of the wood worker, not the punster here). -
i dont know if you can die from bad puns..
but im sure there is some "pun"ishment to fit this crime..
oh man, somebody stop me..
:) -
hahah. nice chapter. very nice.
