Wrigley sold (the company NOT the Ballpark)

Image...
Candy maker Mars Inc. says it's buying Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., makers of Extra, Eclipse and Orbit gum, for a deal valued at almost $23 billion.

Wrigley Field in Chicago shares the same name as the confectioner, but is owned by the Tribune Company. However, Tribune chairman Sam Zell has been attempting to sell the ballpark since the beginning of the year, which could result in a name change for the Cubs legendary home field.

$23 Billion worth of chewing gum? Wow. It's rather humbling to calculate your net worth in units of micro-wrigleys.
