Will Robinson died at the age of 96 this morning. Robinson will be remembered for his contributions that changed the face of American Basketball. In addition to coaching the Illinois State Redbirds as the first black Division I basketball coach, Robinson was a Detroit Pistons scout responsible for the discovery of Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman, as well as helping to challenge the NBA's ban on underclassmen. Robinson had been sick for 15 months prior to his passing.
