I read the book in the early 90's from cover to cover. It was full of facts I had not heard before. The complete book is available to read on the internet. Facts hidden from sight, but facts none the less. If the facts contained in the book, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" are correct, we are doing a terrible disservice to the world by not discussing it.

I read this challenge roughly 17 years ago and have yet to hear anyone accepting the challenge. If the challenge cannot be proven wrong, it appears to be fact. It's time we stop letting corporate America and pharmaceutical companies dictate our conversations.

  • I know hemp can be used to make biofuels, clothing, paper, etc., but, like corn ethanol, wouldn't having to grow so much of it to supply everything become a self-restricting, land-use nightmare? We wouldn't have the food vs. fuel debate, but how many thousands of acres of hemp would we have to plant in order to meet all these needs and what kind of soil does it grow in? Arable land is getting scarcer by the day.

  • Take a look at the facts in the book, hemp can grow deep roots which cultivates the soil. It can grow in any climate, with little water. It can even hemophadite (sp?) if there are no males. The book provides sooo much information, with documentation. You'd be amazed with facts you haven't heard before. Hemp is the cockroach of plants. It will be around no matter even if humans try to eliminate it.

    There is a lot of land available. In Kentucky the farmers were petitioning to grow hemp.

  • We got tons of empty land here in Oregon and there are tons of loggers out of work. They could all become hemp farmers.
